According to Georgian history, in 1743 the king of Kakheti Teimuraz II abolished the Aragvi Sairistavo and honoured the Ananuri fortress to the king’s government. In the second half of the XVIII century, Georgia became an Anan City as a result of the economic strengthening of Russia, in 1803-1821 was Ananuri Mazra Center. Ananuri ensemble consists of secular, military and religious buildings. On 24 October 2007 Ananuri Fortress is included in UNESCO World Heritage List. Gudauri Ski Resort

Gudauri Ski Resort – The Gudauri Ski resort is located in the Kazbegi municipality, on the southern slopes of the Caucasus, at an altitude of 2200 meters above sea level. The resort is surrounded by a monumental mountain system of the great Caucasus. Gudauri is just 120 kilometres north of Tbilisi. Winter is usually active from December, until the end of April. The resort is located in the alpine zone and is therefore free from forest and green, which adds to the safety of the skiers and grants an, especially delightful and interesting experience.
Kazbegi
Kazbegi - Now officially named Stepantsminda, but still commonly known as Kazbegi, it’s a base for some wonderful walking and mountain biking. Stepantsminda is one of the outstanding places of beauty in Georgia. This is a small town surrounded by giant mountains from all sides. Its different landscape will be engrained in your mind forever. Stepantsminda – as the name, was given to the region at the beginning of the 21st century. Its original name was “Kazbegi”, related to the famous Georgian writer Alexander Kazbeg, who was born in Stepantsminda back in 1848. He talks about the beauty of nature in that region through his poetry.
