Batumi is one of the main destinations for people travelling for a trip to Georgia. The city is located on the shores of the Black Sea and is considered to be one of the most modern cities in the whole country.
Coast Perl
Batumi is the capital of the Adjara region, which is located in the southwestern part of Georgia. Batumi is also one of the oldest cities in Georgia, though it also features the most modern architecture. Batumi has always been a strategically important part of the country. The city was fully renovated by the second decade of this century and is one of the most visited places while being on a trip to Georgia.
You will be able to see the Adjarian culture, as well as visit the Black Sea coast Perl and generally spend some quality vacation time for yourself. While walking tour in Batumi Boulevard, you will notice many interesting buildings, with very symbolic features. There are a lot of attractions to try in Batumi. You can go paragliding, riding water scooters and many more. You can also spend some relaxation time in the Batumi Botanic Garden if you decide to take the tour. While going to the seaside city, take into consideration the climate. The humidity is very high and the beginning of the summer is usually very rainy. Though, there is the golden season in September the best time to visit Georgia and the seaside, with the moderate temperature and the most pleasant sun rays kissing your skin.
The city also offers you several interesting monuments and statues, one of the most popular is the Ali and Nino moving statue. It was this famous love that inspired Georgian artist Tamara Kvesitadze to create her monumental moving sculpture in 2010. The giant metal artwork, also known as the “Statue of Love,” consists of two somewhat transparent figures made of stacked segments. Each day at 7 PM, the two figures slide towards each other, eventually merging as their segments pass between each other. never truly connecting.
